Kelly vividly recalls the moment when she first fell in love with animals. She was 4 years old and her parents got her a long haired calico cat which she named Angel Baby after one of her favorite songs. From that moment on, whenever anyone asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would say "A vet". Kelly's love for animals grew over the years, but cats remained her favorite. She knew she wanted to pursue a career working with animals so she volunteered at a veterinary hospital during her senior year in high school and decided she wanted to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician.
Kelly received her degree in Veterinary Technology in 1996 and has thoroughly enjoyed being a nurse to countless patients over the years. Her favorite parts of being a Licensed Veterinary Technician are surgery and venipuncture. She is proud to have worked at clinics that practice high quality medicine that treat patients as if they were their own.
Kelly's interest in management led to her becoming a practice manager in 2008. In 2020, she took on the role of Hospital Administrator at Honeoye Falls Veterinary Hospital. Kelly makes it a priority to foster an environment where each employee is recognized for their hard work.
Outside of work, Kelly lives with her two daughters. They share their home with a pitbull named Nike and an orange tabby named Strike. Along with her boyfriend and his daughter, they all enjoy binge watching Netflix, taking road trips, watching soccer games and spending time with family in the Rochester area.
Kathy chose to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician later in life. It turned out to be one of the best decisions she’s made! Kathy loves being able to make the lives of patients and their owners better on a daily basis. Client education is her strong suit and she believes that helping an owner understand their pet makes for a stronger and more meaningful relationship between an owner and their pet.
When not at work, Kathy shares a home with her husband and her 16 year old son. They are owned by 4 Golden Retriever’s and a multitude of cats. When she has a spare 5 minutes, Kathy can be found with her nose stuck in a book. Unless, of course, a cat takes exception and climbs onto her lap and lays down on top of the book!
Sheranda’s love for animals began at a young age. It wasn’t until her sophomore year in high school that she decided to go into the veterinary field and she was 21 when she was able to go to school. Sheranda graduated from Alfred State College in 2006.
Sheranda started working at Honeoye Falls Veterinary Hospital in August 2008. She absolutely loves spoiling all the dogs by giving cookies – at least to the ones that will accept them! Sheranda also loves to snuggle with the cats.
When not working, she enjoys time with her husband and 2 boys, ages 20 & 8. They all love to go four wheeling, fishing and sitting around campfires in the summer. Sheranda currently has 2 dogs, a lab named Dodger who is 13, and a beagle named Tucker who is almost 15.
After starting her bachelor degree for pediatric nursing, Coalie realized she wanted to combine her love for animals and healthcare so she decided to change paths and focus on the Veterinary field. After several years in General practice, she elected to take an emergency vet tech position at The University of Tennessee Teaching Hospital in their Critical Care Department. She gained a tremendous amount of knowledge, skill and passion for emergency. She moved back home to New York while her husband is training with the United States Military to spend quality time with family when she found a new spark of love for general practice at Honeoye Falls Veterinary Hospital. Although Coalie will only be here at the hospital for a short period of time, she will always call her coworkers family!
She currently resides in the area while her husband is in training and hopes to move somewhere warm and sunny with their three fur babies, whippet/border collie, Bella and their two cats, Maxwell & Cayden. In their spare time they enjoy traveling, cooking Italian food, exercising & watching college football (WAR EAGLE!).
