“We were tremendously pleased and impressed with care for Jackson who needed emergency surgery. The medical challenges were clearly and kindly explained. Difficult conversations (including costs) were handled with sensitivity and honesty. All staff that we encountered were knowledgeable and kind.” -Steve, Honeoye Falls
We sincerely hope you will not have to seek emergency service, though you should be familiar with our procedures in the event it becomes necessary.
- For a life threatening emergency during the day, be sure to call us in advance so we can prepare for your arrival and give your pet top priority.
- After hours, if you feel your pet’s condition cannot wait until we re-open, call our regular hospital telephone number (624-1088) and you will be provided with instructions (pager and/or telephone numbers) on how to proceed.
- For life threatening small animal emergencies after hours, you are encouraged to call the Animal Emergency Service of Rochester at 424-1277. This is a 24 hour emergency clinic located at 825 White Spruce Boulevard in the Southview Commons, directly across from Monroe Community College on Rt. 15A (East Henrietta Road). The clinic is fully staffed with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other support staff throughout the night. Therefore, they can provide the appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic care, along with constant monitoring of patients after hours.
