Dr. Karin Boyd, an alumnus of The Ohio State University, joined Livonia Veterinary Hospital in 1992, after practicing for several years in Binghamton, N.Y. She has extensive experience in small animal medicine and surgery, as well as an ongoing interest in obedience training and animal behavior.
In addition to her horse, multiple cats and Golden Retrievers, Dr. Karin breeds Long Haired Dachshunds. She actively competes in agility and field trials, and her Dachshund “Razzle” was featured on the cover of international agility magazine Clean Run in 2008! Besides being “mom” to her animals, she is also mom to a teenage son. When not parenting kids and pets, she can be found outdoors in her extensive perennial gardens.
